<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Consolas">The Intellectual Property Rights Committee at A&amp;M-Commerce (Susan Andrews; Jay Garrett; Julie McElhany; Linda Openshaw; Mary Beth Sampson; Sandy Weeks; Tim Wilson; and R. N. Singh) met recently and decided to revise our university procedure for copy rights (15.99.03.R0.02). That procedure was revised last time in 1996 and we felt that it is about time we update it so it becomes current and adequately protects faculty, students, and the university in an effective manner.&nbsp; </FONT></SPAN></P>

<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Consolas">With the help of our Provost, Dr. Lemanski, we have contacted and invited Dr. Marilyn Huston in the General Counsel Office at the Texas A&amp;M University System, College Station, to come to our campus on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011. Dr. Huston will address that day a faculty-staff hearing on our procedure for the intellectual property rights from 11 AM to noon in the Students Center 231, Pride Room. You are invited to join us and share with Dr. Huston your concerns and ideas on the intellectual/copy rights. That will help our committee on the subject to develop revisions in the policy. </FONT></SPAN></P>
