<p class=MsoNormal>I am pleased to announce some changes in the Business
Administration area that will help us deliver better service to you, reduce
some operating costs, and provide additional decision support to critical
areas. I will provide more details to everyone a little later in
September, but I wanted the campus community to have the outline of these
changes before classes start.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Rex Giddens will serve as Assistant Vice President for
Business Services and Director of Employment Services. His responsibilities
will include Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, Contract Management,
Printing, Copying, Mail Services, Real Estate, and Auxiliary Services. All of
Mr. Giddens’ area will move later in the semester to the space being
vacated by the Registrar and Admissions.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Alicia Currin will remain Associate Vice President but will
also become Director of Financial Services. She will supervise the Comptroller,
Budgets, Accounting, Bursar, Reporting, and Business Intelligence.
Margaret Williams will move from Human Resources to work with Janet Anderson to
provide budget assistance to the staffs in all of the Auxiliary Services
functions and to provide support and backup to the Provost’s budget
specialist. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The Police Department and Training will become direct
reports to my office.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Dr. Jones and Provost Lemanski have asked Ken Crutchfield to
join the Provost’s staff to serve as Director of Diversity and Equal
Employment Opportunity. Ken will continue to have responsibility to the broader
University in his Equal Opportunity role.<o:p></o:p></p>
