Porter will be presenting three workshops on grant writing in February and
March. Based on a Fall Survey of faculty, deans and department heads, the
workshop series will begin with a comprehensive overview of the important
elements of successful grantwriting (Grantwriting 101-February 28<sup>th</sup>).
Writing Goals and Objectives (March 13<sup>th</sup>) and Creating Budgets and
Justifications (March 27<sup>th</sup>) will provide more in-depth training on
these two important components of a grant proposal. Participants in all
three workshops will leave with ideas for specific grants to support their
research or students’ needs and techniques for ensuring grant success. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
