presented the committee’s report on the request to remove the Graduate
Record Examination from the master’s and doctoral admission requirements
for Literature and Languages. After a discussion, Dr. Green made the motion to
approve the request and have the Graduate Council address the issue of quality
in all graduate programs. Dr. <st1:PersonName w:st="on">Chester Robinson</st1:PersonName>
seconded the motion which was unanimously approved by the Council. Next, the
request will be forwarded to Deans Council for consideration.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
