[VPAAEtal] Faculty Development Leave Application Deadline: Call for Proposals for AY 2027-2028

Dear Faculty Members,

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the call for proposals for Faculty Development Leave (FDL) for academic year 2027-2028. FDL provides eligible faculty members the opportunity to pursue professional development activities that enhance their teaching, research, creative work, and/or service to the University. It is intended to support projects that contribute to the faculty member's professional growth and to advance the mission of the University.

Eligibility: Full-time faculty members who are interested and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in University Procedure 12.99.01.RO.01<https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:8e5c30ad-3ad8-4811-b66b-26427f83c890> are invited to participate.

Application Deadline: Tuesday, December 1, 2026 - Applicants must submit their proposal allowing adequate time to route through the department head and dean for their approval. It is the responsibility of the applicant to monitor the routing of the proposal to ensure it completes the approval routing through the department head and dean no later than the deadline of December 1.

Application Materials: Applicants must submit the following:

  *   Proposal outlining the purpose, objectives, and expected outcomes of the leave
  *   Timeline for the proposed activities
  *   Current curriculum vitae
  *   Approval from the department head and dean
