[VPAAEtal] Request for Proposals: Transformative & Experiential Learning Innovation Awards (TELI)

Dear Colleagues,
The Office of Transformative Learning is pleased to announce the 2026-2027 Transformative and Experiential Learning Innovation (TELI) Funding Awards, supporting faculty and staff who are developing, expanding, or enhancing transformative and career-connected learning opportunities for East Texas A&M students.
Two funding opportunities are available:

  *   Just-in-Time Learning Awards (up to $1,000) provide rapid funding for time-sensitive experiential learning opportunities and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
  *   Transformative Learning Awards (up to $10,000) support larger-scale projects that expand, enhance, or create sustainable experiential learning initiatives.
Projects may include course redesign, undergraduate research, internships, community-engaged learning, mentoring initiatives, employer partnerships, signature assignments, assessment innovations, and other experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for success beyond graduation.
Important Deadline
Faculty and staff planning to implement projects during the Fall 2026 semester should submit proposals by August 15, 2026 (5:00 p.m. CST). Additional competitive funding rounds will be offered in November and April, and Just-in-Time Learning Awards will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis while funds remain available.
Please share this announcement widely with colleagues, departments, programs, and collaborators who may be interested in pursuing innovative approaches to experiential and transformative learning.
