SPRING 2025 CONVOCATION
Thursday, April 17, 2025
11 a.m. to noon
(Classes & offices on the main campus will be cancelled/closed .)

Faculty, Staff and Students,

This is a reminder that our Spring 2025 Academic Convocation will be next Thursday, April 17, honoring Dr. Brian Zator, Regents Professor and Professor of Music. Dr. Zator became the university's most recent recipient of the highest academic distinction bestowed upon faculty by The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents when named "Regents Professor" for academic year 2023-2024.

Convocation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon in the University Music Building, Concert Hall.

All classes and offices on the main campus will be cancelled/closed from 11 a.m. to noon to allow students, faculty and staff to attend. Faculty will participate in full academic regalia and gather for the processional at approximately 10:45 a.m. Faculty are asked to enter the Music Building using the sliding glass doors located at the northeast entrance (closest to the stadium) of the building and will line up in the first-floor hallway of the Music Building.

Faculty who are unable to attend are to consult their respective dean in advance.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Convocation!
