Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director
(Posting R-055468)
Stipend Position Available for Full-Time Faculty
Texas A&M University-Commerce seeks an internal Faculty Director to lead the university's new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), as part of the SACSCOC 2024 Reaffirmation process. "The Quality Enhancement Plan is an integral component of the reaffirmation of accreditation process and is derived from an institution's ongoing comprehensive planning and evaluation processes. It reflects and affirms a commitment to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue that the institution considers important to improving student learning outcomes and/or student success" (SACSCOC Quality Enhancement Plan Policy Statement).
The QEP is the University's commitment to pursuing the improvement and assessment of student learning around a central topic for a period of 5-10 years. It is a University-wide initiative focused on the awareness of career readiness for the entire student body. The theme, projects and learning experiences specific to the QEP will be identified through the leadership of the QEP Director, utilizing institutional data and collaborative topic discovery to positively impact students learning and their ability to articulate this learning. The QEP Director has responsibility for the implementation and management of the Quality Enhancement Plan along with assessment planning and collection, progress updates and reporting, budget management, narrative creation, etc. as part of institutional reaffirmation of its SACSCOC accreditation. The QEP Director reports directly to the SACSCOC Liaison and works closely with the staff of Department of Institutional Effectiveness and Research.
Candidates should be current, full-time faculty members ranked as Associate Professor or above, in non-temporary lines at A&M-Commerce. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing and improving curriculum or large-scale projects to support career readiness and marketable skills for students, as well as the development of student experiences related to these areas. Applications from candidates with experience leading/managing academic units, degree and certificate programs, curriculum committees, study abroad, internships, externships, placements, or other curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular experiences would be welcome.
