Digital learning is vitally important to shaping the future of higher education in Texas, as was made evident over the past year with the rapid pivot to remote learning due to COVID-19. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) established the Division of Digital Learning (DDL) in November 2020 to spread awareness of, build capacity for, and recognize digital excellence across the state and the nation. To achieve these goals, the DDL will create a Digital Learning Clearinghouse (DLTX). Our aim is to make DLTX a comprehensive digital learning resource, program, and service website that facilitates community connection and knowledge-sharing to move digital innovation forward.

As we begin to return to our pre-pandemic environments, we must capitalize on the creativity and innovative energy that has taken place over the last 15 months, which is why we are engaging in a research partnership with The University of Texas at Austin School of Design and Creative Technologies. This partnership will help us discover how to best support and serve students, faculty, and institutions as we move forward in establishing the new normal for higher education. The voices and lived experiences of faculty are critically important to informing the building of DLTX and its future resources and service offerings. We are seeking volunteers to share their stories with us and want to ensure your campus is included in shaping the DLTX.
