[VPAAEtal] 2021-2022 academic year

[Academic Affairs]

Dear Faculty and Staff:

As we begin preparing for our return for the 2021-2022 academic year, I want you to know that I have informed President Rudin that the coming academic year will be my last as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. I accepted this position during a time of crisis at the university and multiple events since have kept me in an administrative role longer than I had originally intended. But six years as Provost is long enough and I would like to return to the faculty for a few years prior to my retirement from the university. During the Fall Assembly in August, Dr. Rudin will inform the campus community as to the search process and timeline for the identification and selection of my successor.

Best regards,

John
