Colleagues

Today, Early Intervention reporting for the Spring 2021 semester will begin. It will run through February 15.

You will be prompted to report via an email from me.

You will be asked to report for all students in your first-time full-time freshmen, Academic probation, suspension, and student athletes, regardless of classification.

I emphasize regardless of classification because the conventional image we have of a freshman is a completely new blank-slate student. First-time, full-time freshman is a category set by the state that can include students with multiple college credits from dual credit.

With dual credit pervasive in our high schools, that is not always the case. These students can be in almost any undergraduate class depending up their accumulated credits.

Probation and suspension students could be any classification, but their academic status bears attention from our student success teams.

Athletes' eligibility requirements require regular assessment of their academic progress throughout the semester.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Ricky Dobbs, Ph.D.
Associate Provost
