Hello faculty,
Adobe will discontinue its support for Adobe Flash in December of 2020. This will impact availability of content on the campus Adobe Connect server. Instructional content that was created with the old Adobe Presenter application will no longer play back. If you currently use the Adobe Connect server to host instructional content such as lectures with voice-over PowerPoint you will need to plan accordingly.
Please take steps to back-up your instructional content from the Adobe Connect server. Login to https://connect.tamuc.edu/.edu to access your content. You can download your PowerPoint files from your Adobe Connect user content folder<https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/using/content-content-library.html#download_presentation_source_files_from_the_content_library>.
For future lectures, you will need to record new audio for these PowerPoint slide presentations. There are a few of different ways to record audio with PowerPoint.
1. Using the PowerPoint application to record audio, then publish the slide show as an MP4.
2. Using Camtasia plug-in to record and publish an MP4 or to YouTube.
3. Using Zoom to share PowerPoint on screen and record audio.
Thank you,
