Faculty,

This is to clarify that the updated notice regarding Mid-Term Grades applies to only undergraduate courses. It does NOT apply to graduate courses.

MIDTERM GRADE REPORTING CHANGES

Colleagues:

We made it through last week. Thanks for all you did and are doing for our students. If you have not already done so, please report your midterm grades following the guidelines below.
If you have already done so, giving all grades as well as Ds and Fs, thanks!
WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
1.) Each faculty member needs to report midterm grades for all courses in MyLeo.
2. Each faculty member needs to report ALL midterm grades-even the good ones-in MyLeo.
3.) The deadline has been extended to next Wednesday, March 25.
4.) If you are still in the process of catching up and getting online, report the grade as it was before spring break.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
1.) We need updated information on student progress to assess steps we need to take for outreach by student support staff.
2.) Students need to know where they stand. That way they can make informed decisions about sticking with it or dropping.
3.) The drop and withdrawal deadlines have been moved back to the end of April. Other institutions are taking similar action. This is an emergency measure for spring. This allows time for outreach and support, but it also prevents students making hasty decisions about continuing in a course.
