[VPAAEtal] Michele Jones Galvin - "Beyond the Underground" - March 5, 2020

Ms. Michele Jones Galvin, notable speaker and author of the book "Beyond the Underground" will be on our campus at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 5 in the Ferguson Auditorium to speak to the university community. Following her talk, Ms. Galvin will remain for a book signing. Ms. Galvin is a descendent of Harriet Tubman, American abolitionist and political activist. Her book chronicles the Tubman's family story from their survival of slavery through the family settling in New York. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend to this event sponsored by the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Art.

Although classes will not be canceled on March 5, please allow students who are interested to attend this once-in-a lifetime opportunity.
