Good morning!

Administrative Associates, please forward this email to any Adjuncts who do not have the main faculty e-mail address.

**Please read the entire email, as additional information has been provided.**

Final grades are DUE TODAY by 5:00 p.m., for the following terms:

** All instructors with sub-terms that are scheduled to end after May 10, 2019, marked in RED, must submit the grade IP (in progress) into grading worksheets, if students have not already received a letter grade for the course. A Petition for Grade Change form (only Instructor's signature is needed) will need to be completed for each student at the end of the sub-term, or as students complete the course, and submitted to the Registrar's Office for processing. The reason for this is to insure that all student Academic Transcripts reflect classes that are still in progress at the end of the Spring 2019 semester.

  *   2019 Spring Full Term - January 14, 2019 - May 10, 2019
  *   2019 Spring Sub-Term 'J' - March 11, 2019 - May 10, 2019

  *   2019 Spring Sub-Term 'O' - January 14, 2019 - January 9, 2020
  *   2019 Spring Sub-Term 'A3' - April 1, 2019 - January 9, 2020

***Any grades not submitted on time will require the submission of a Petition for Grade Change form for each student, in order to post the grades. Signatures from Instructor, Department Head, and Dean are required. Class rosters (with final grades) that are attached to multiple Petition for Grade Change forms will NOT be accepted; a completed form is required for EACH STUDENT.

Please note, the prompt submission of grades is imperative for staff to complete their end of term processes.
There are several processes affected by final grades for each semester. Some of these are:

  *   Financial aid eligibility determination
  *   Graduation checks
  *   Academic action assessments
  * Student registration in future terms
  * Final transcript calculations for our students
  * Academic appeals for future semesters
None of these can be done without all grades for individual students.

Also, when completing the grading process, please be aware of FERPA regulations and guidelines, which can be found at the following address: http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/registrar/documents/Ferpafacultystaff.pdf Grading information is considered non-directory and cannot be shared openly amongst a class or department. We appreciate your attention in this matter.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me for assistance.
