Hello faculty,

To control access for activity items such as discussions, quizzes, and assignment submission folders, please edit the specific item dates.  Setting access dates at the module level does not cascade down to the activity items.

Also note, you can quickly set quizzes to "inactive" using a bulk process:

http://www.tamuc.edu/facultyStaffServices/academicTechnology/_documents/d2l/BulkInactiveQuiz.pdf

This will give you additional time to set access dates for the quiz item itself.
