CALL FOR PROPOSALS:  Lion Lecture
The Book in Common is an important part of the First Year TRAC initiative because it extends beyond freshmen to create a shared cultural experience for our entire university campus and surrounding community.  It is our hope that this book will become integrated into your courses and student activities this year.  Campus-wide events are held to learn & discuss issues raised by the common read.  Your involvement is needed for the:
Lion Lecture:  November 13, 2018 at 6PM in BA 109
Academic faculty are encouraged to submit an academically-focused abstract related to topics raised by the book.  Some ideas are presented in the word cloud, below

Presenters will provide a student-friendly academic lecture in a TED Talk format (5-8 minutes).  Six presentations from various academic disciplines will be followed by questions from the audience.  Dr. Ray Green (Honors College) has graciously agreed to serve as moderator & discussant.  [PowerPoint and other technological needs will be provided].  Copies of the book are available for sale in the bookstore and are on reserve in the library.

Include: Name, Position, Department, Contact Information, Tentative Title
Accepted presenters will be notified by October 26st, 2018
