[VPAAEtal] Spring 2019 Course Offerings, Updated Syllabus Template, and Workshops

Dear Faculty,

The Spring 2019 course offerings have been created in myLeo Online (D2L Brightspace).  There is a course shell for all Banner sections, regardless of teaching modality.  This means there is a course offering shell in the learning management system for all fully online, blended, and face-to-face course sections.  These course offerings do not have content in them; you will need to copy your content into the course. If your course needs to be cross-listed with another course or courses, please email us at online at tamuc.edu<mailto:online at tamuc.edu> and we will cross-list those courses for you.

Also, we have updated the syllabus template<http://www.tamuc.edu/facultyStaffServices/academicTechnology/_documents/d2l/D2L_SyllabusTemplate_Updated_11_6_2018.docx> so that the technical requirements section is condensed.  The template is based on Quality Matters recommendations.

This week we are offering three myLeo Online workshops to help you prep for the new semester, as well as finish out this semester with grading assessments:


*         Wednesday 28th

o   10:00 to 11:00-  Grading Assessments-  This workshop will cover how to grade assignments, discussion posts, and quizzes. In addition to offering feedback and assigning grades, we'll make sure they get sent to the gradebook for students to find.

o   2:00 to 3:00-       Gradebook Setup- Get hands-on experience configuring the gradebook in the new LMS!



*         Thursday 15th,

o   11:00 to 12:00- Gradebook Setup
