At the request of Dr. James Hallmark, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the following request is being distributed to all faculty.
The Faculty Task Force from the System-wide Council on Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE) needs your feedback.
Dear Colleague,
An interdisciplinary group of faculty serving on a Task Force of the Committee on Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE). The purpose of the Faculty Task Force (FTF) is to research innovative ideas and strategies for academic technology integration. The FTF is assessing the teaching technology needs of faculty across the entire A&M System.
You were selected as a participant because you are currently a faculty member at one of the 11 universities in the A&M System. The link below will take you to an online survey that will provide a consent document and ask questions regarding your attitudes, needs, and behaviors related to technology use in teaching, research and service.
This anonymous survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and your information will be kept confidential. Once you have started the survey, you may stop at any time as there is no obligation to complete any portion of the survey. Your participation is anonymous and will not impact your employment status.
Academic technology is becoming an important part of our jobs as faculty members. The information from this survey will be used to determine potential barriers to use of technology, resources available for technology, training needs, and potential system level collaborative pricing for popular tools. Your participation is critical. Please consider lending your voice.
Questions about CATIE and the Task Force conducting this survey can be directed to the Principle Investigator, Lori Kupcznski, EdD at Texas A&M University-Kingsville via email lori.kupczynski at tamuk.edu<mailto:lori.kupczynski at tamuk.edu>.
This project has been reviewed and approved by the Texas A&M - Kingsville IRB.
