Dear Faculty,
Our University’s journey to D2L Brightspace is well underway. Visit the Project NOVA website<http://www.tamuc.edu/facultyStaffServices/centerForFacultyExcellenceAndInnovation/LMS/default.aspx> to learn more and stay updated.
[A star rising over the horizon of a planet with the words Project Nova in large white letters over it, and numbers counting down 3, 2, 1. There are many moving parts with Project NOVA. While you await your accounts and access to this new online world, D2L Brightspace, the CFEI wants to share with you three steps to transition successfully.
❶ Course Identification: Help to identify: (1) your courses for migration to D2L Brightspace and (2) your archived courses (which will remain in Pearson LearningStudio or eCollege). Please look to and work with your Department Heads on this. More to come with this plan…
❷ Course Preparation: This is a great time to “spring clean” your courses in preparation for the migration. It is recommended to remove any unwanted content from (1) your courses for migration. It is also recommended to save all course content from (2) your archived courses, possibly saving your content using the university share drive, an external hard drive, and/or a thumb drive.
❸ D2L Brightspace Orientation: There is a D2L Brightspace Orientation resource guide available in Atomic Learning as part of the “TAMUC Custom Courses” in the top navigation (blue) bar. All full-time faculty have individual accounts to Atomic Learning. Based on a limited number of accounts, access to Atomic Learning for adjunct faculty and GAs is available at the CFEI Faculty Lab (within the CFEI, Gee Library, Suite 173). Information and instructions to access this and other Atomic Learning resources are attached. Please do not circulate the attached document or the link and login information outside of the university.
