Convocation to Honor Dr. Srinivas Nippani
Regents Professor


Dear members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce community,

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents recently named Dr. Srinivas Nippani, Regents Professor and Professor of Finance and Economics, with this academic year's Regents Professor Award. This award is the System's highest distinction for exemplary performance and professional service by a faculty member.

Please join me in honoring Dr. Nippani, AY 2014-2015 Regents Professor, for this wonderful achievement at the upcoming spring Convocation on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the University Auditorium. In order for faculty, staff and students to attend the Convocation, all classes on the main campus in Commerce, Texas, will be canceled and campus offices will be closed from 11 a.m. to noon, on this date.

Faculty will participate in full academic regalia and gather for the processional at approximately 10:45 a.m. in the first floor hallway of the Ferguson Social Sciences Building.  Those unable to attend are to consult their respective dean in advance.

Please mark on your calendars this special event to honor both Dr. Nippani' academic career and the history of our university by joining in this celebration.
