[VPAAEtal] Summer I SRTE Schedule

Faculty Member,

Administration of the Summer I 2016 Students' Ratings of Teaching Effectiveness (SRTEs), often referred to as "course evaluations," begins 21 June.  Your department's administrative assistant will collate and stuff SRTE packets for each of the courses that you teach.  When completed, your department's administrative assistant will distribute the course packets to you. Please follow the administration guidelines for administration of the SRTEs and return your completed SRTEs to your administrative assistant prior to 1 July.  Summer I SRTEs will not be accepted at CFEI after 7 July.

Academic department Administrative Assistants will assemble packets and distribute paper-based  SRTEs




27 June - 1 July


SRTEs are administered utilizing a student designee from the class.



Administer SRTEs - Students receive prompt to complete when logging into Pearson Learning Studio (eCollege) online course


5 - 7 July
(Summer I SRTEs will not be accepted at CFEI after 7 July.)


All completed paper-based SRTEs will be returned by Administrative Assistants to CFEI.




Please allocate time in your course to permit students to participate and express their opinions.  .

Consider sharing with your students the value you place on course evaluations, as well as mentioning improvements made to courses or teaching styles made in response to previous student ratings (SRTEs).  In addition to yielding valuable student feedback, empowering students to offer constructive and thoughtful feedback promotes student retention and engagement.
