Good Afternoon Faculty!
The Center for Faculty Excellence & Innovation (CFEI, formerly the Faculty Center for Teaching with Technology of FCTT) would like to highlight new resources and events for faculty professional development.
CFEI Resources
1) The CFEI has a new dedicated Faculty Fellows & Scholars Space with 2 computer stations equipped with Internet access and researching, data analyzing, writing, and presenting software. Faculty Open Lab sessions, to support your current instructional, research, scholarship, and service projects, will be held in this space on Thursdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm during the Fall 2014 semester. Faculty are welcomed to participate in the Open Lab sessions as well as use this space at any time during regular business hours. Reservations are recommended, since Faculty Fellows and Faculty Open Lab sessions will be given first priority.
2) The CFEI has a 1-year membership to 20 Minute Mentor Commons, a media resource library specifically for faculty. Please see the attached flyer for information on how to access the library anytime this 2014-2015 academic year.
3) The CFEI held a Faculty Focus online seminar, 10 Ways to Improve Blended Learning Course Design in 2014 on 8/21/14 from 1:00-2:00pm at the CFEI Conference Room (AGIT 222). It is not too late to participate! If you are interested in accessing the online resources for this past seminar, please register on the CFEI website for this online seminar at any time, or while the CFEI website is preparing to launch, please call 903-886-5511 or email CFEI.FacultyDev at tamuc.edu<mailto:CFEI.FacultyDev at tamuc.edu> to register.
