I am pleased to invite you and your graduate students to the 4th Annual
Federation Graduate Student Research Symposium to be held on April 26,
2013, at Texas Woman's University.   All information about the symposium
is found at http://www.twu.edu/federation/student-research-symposium.asp
; and, for your use, I am attaching a flyer that can be printed or
distributed via email.  Please note that attendance for you and your
students is free; however, you must register so that we have meal count.


 

Students in the following disciplines are eligible to present their
research:  Art/Fine Arts, Bilingual/ESL, Biology/Molecular Biology,
Computer Science, Psychology, Early Childhood Education,
Interdisciplinary Studies, Library Science, Music, Reading,
Rhetoric/Writing, Literature and Language Studies, Sociology, and
Special Education.   Awards for best posters will be presented. The
abstract must be presented to the Office of Research and Sponsored
Programs before it is sent to the Federation.

 

We will provide transportation for A&M-Commerce students.  Once
registered, students will receive additional information concerning the
itinerary and where to board the university van. 

 

Please do the following:

*         Please encourage your graduate students to present their
research via poster format.  Deadline for registration is Friday, April
12, 2013. Students must submit abstracts to the Office of Research and
Sponsored Programs on or before April 1, 2013. Send to Mona Gilley at 
mona.gilley at tamuc.edu. 

*         Please ask your fellow faculty to encourage their students to
participate.

*         Please plan to be present on April 26 to support the students.


*         Please consider serving as a poster judge.
