We are constantly trying to find ways of improving our compliance
regarding the appointment of Graduate Assistants (GAs).  We need to
ensure that the direct supervisors of all GAs (Teaching, Research, and
non-Teaching) are clearly identified.  

Beginning this summer, all EPAs must include the names of the direct
supervisors of all GAs in the Justification section on the EPA before it
can be processed. Only the individual who has direct supervision over
the GA should be listed. Once the Graduate School receives this
information, the EPA will be processed and the information entered into
Banner for a permanent record of the supervision of all Graduate
Assistants that are hired and supervised at the university.
