[VPAAEtal] Child Protection Training

Good afternoon,

 

A number of faculty, staff, and volunteers who will be teaching summer
programs with high school and junior high school age youth will receive
required Child Protection Training information from Heidi Wright in
Training and Development.  I want to take this opportunity to make you
aware of the Child Protective Training that is required by Senate Bill
1414 and A&M System Regulation 24.01.06.  Both documents were written to
protect minor children who are attending camps located at campuses
across the state.  This training is in response to the new senate bill.
I ask that you comply with the training request within the timeframe
given.  

 

I appreciate your cooperation.  The intent is to keep all children
visiting our campus safe over the summer.  Thank you for all that you do
to make Texas A&M University-Commerce a premier learning and research
university.
