[VPAAEtal] Lion Movers

[Academic Affairs]

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

As in years past the Lion Movers program is gearing up to help our
resident students to move in for the upcoming academic year!

Volunteers are needed from the faculty, staff, our athletic teams, and
student organizations. Besides helping residents and their families
carry their belongings, we need greeters, building captains, etc. so if
you are unable to carry belongings, let us know because we will have a
spot for everyone.

For those student organizations who want to help please provide the
department with a list of those students names and CWID numbers who will
be volunteering and they can move in the day before on Tuesday, August
23rd.

The residence halls open on Wednesday, August 24th! The Lion Movers
schedule will be in two hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6 p.m. We are
asking each volunteer to work one 2 hour shift; of course, if you are
having too much fun, you may stay for another shift!

There will be a Lion Movers volunteer meeting that everyone will need to
attend on Tuesday, August 23rd. The meetings will only last 30 minutes.
Two opportunities are available at 4p.m. and 6p.m. AND if these times
don't work for you, we will find a time that does work for you.

Everyone's time and energy is greatly appreciated! Let's make this a
GREAT beginning to an AMAZING year!

Please contact Veta Dawson at Veta_Dawson at TAMU-Commerce.edu
<mailto:Veta_Dawson at TAMU-Commerce.edu> or by phone at 903-886-5798 to
volunteer or if you have questions.

Thank you,

Dennis Koch, Director
