Students are not eligible for full or conditional admission status until
their application files are complete. Therefore, please stress to all
prospective graduate students applying to programs requiring GRE scores
that they should schedule their testing prior to August 1 if they desire
to complete their application files and achieve full or conditional
admission status for Fall 2011.

This delay in GRE scores could affect a student's ability to obtain full
or conditional admission status to a graduate program and be awarded
financial aid in a timely manner. In addition, students seeking
Graduate Assistantships are not eligible to be hired until they have
gained full or conditional admission to a graduate program.

If students have never taken graduate coursework at A&M-Commerce, they
will still have the option of obtaining provisional status prior to the
completion of their application file. Provisional status allows
students to register and attend for one semester. However, students
having provisional status are not eligible for financial aid or graduate
assistantships. International students are not eligible for provisional
status.

This information will be posted on the Graduate School website and all
new applicants will receive this information via email when they submit
an online application to the Graduate School. Contact will be made to
current applicants that have not received an admission to a program.
However, in order to mitigate a potential negative impact to any of our
prospective students, we are asking that you also distribute this
information and urge students to take the GRE prior to August 1, 2011.
