[VPAAEtal] Announcing the Retirement of Dr. McBroom

[Academic Affairs]

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the retirement of our
Associate Provost, Dr. Randy McBroom effective August 31, 2011.

Randy has been with the university for over 27 years. He began work here
while obtaining his Bachelor and Master Degrees in1983 and 1986
respectively. After receiving his Doctorate at UNT he returned to a very
productive career here at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Here he served
a successful period as an Assistant and Associate Professor, Director of
Institutional Research, and Assistant to the President for Planning and
Institutional Effectiveness before assuming the responsibility in the
Provost office of Associate Provost.

Although we will all miss Randy immensely, he has worked extremely hard
his entire career and has earned the opportunity to enjoy more time with
his family and grandchildren. He plans to continue in his pursuit of
other professional and personal interests.

Please join me in wishing Randy all the best in his retirement from the
university.

Larry F. Lemanski, Ph.D.

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
