On May 27, 2010, the A&M System Board of Regents approved new programs
for A&M-Commerce. The Office of Academic Affairs will submit an
electronic notification to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
for final approval. These new programs include:

* New Master of Arts/Science Degree Program in Political Science
(College of Arts and Sciences)

* New Master of Science Degree Program in Applied Criminology
(College of Arts and Sciences)

* New Master of Science Degree Program in Accounting (College of
Business and Technology)

* New Bachelor of General Studies Degree Program (College of
Business and Technology)

* New Master of Science Degree Program in The Art of Teaching
(College of Education and Human Services)

I appreciate the dedication of the administration, faculty, and staff
who worked tirelessly to research and develop the proposals for these
new programs. We must keep advancing our programs to insure our
graduates possess the knowledge and skills employers desire.

Larry F. Lemanski, Ph.D.
