[VPAAEtal] INVITE from ITDE Instructional Design

Faculty,

The ITDE Instructional Design team is redesigning its web page with a focus on providing online resources to assist you in the design, development, and delivery of your online and web-enhanced courses. One of our goals related to the site is to assist our faculty in networking with each other in an exchange of best practices, research, knowledge, and experience.  So we have two requests to make of you. 

1.       Faculty Research Resources: If you have published an article within the past 5 years related to online learning, please email us (online at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:online at tamu-commerce.edu> ) the citation information and a brief 2-3 sentence description of the article. We will include your article in the listing of faculty publications on the research resources page.

2.       Faculty Focus:  Each month we plan to feature a faculty member who is effectively integrating an innovative/creative instructional strategy or idea in his/her online or web-enhanced course. Please note that we are featuring innovative teaching strategies, not just innovative technologies, which you have determined to be beneficial to the success of instruction and student learning in your online course or web-enhanced course. If you are integrating such an idea that you feel may benefit other faculty, please email online at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:online at tamu-commerce.edu>    with the following information:

a.       Name and title

b.      Department/College

c.       Brief description of the innovative/creative teaching strategy, its use and how it has enhanced teaching and learning in your online or web-enhanced course.

If you have any questions regarding these requests or simply want to confirm that your idea fits the intention of the faculty focus, please contact an Instruction Design team member.
