[VPAAEtal] eCollege and Internet Explore 8.0

On Thursday, March 19, Microsoft announced their release of Internet
Explorer 8.0 to the public.  Subsequently, Microsoft will deploy IE 8
via Windows auto-update, 6 - 8 weeks following the March general
release.

 

Please be aware that eCollege is currently performing compatibility
testing of Internet Explorer 8.0 with the eCollege platform.  eCollege
reports that their compatibility testing should be completed within 30
days of the general release. If no major issues are found, eCollege
projects they will announce their support of IE 8 by April 20, 2009.


It is suggested that you not install IE 8 or accept the IE 8 Windows
auto-update until eCollege releases an official IE 8/eCollege
compatibility statement.
