Dear University Community:
We are proud to announce that day-to-day comparison to last year's
enrollment indicates a 19.91% increase in overall undergraduate
enrollment and a 41% increase in freshmen enrollment!
We ask for your assistance in making certain we serve our new and
current students as we prepare for the fall semester. Several of us have
now moved (and others will move by the end of this week) to the One-Stop
Student Access and Success Center. We are:
* University College (including the success coaches)
* Career Services
* Dean of Enrollment Management and Retention (moving tomorrow
and Friday)
* Vice-President of Student Access and Success
As you know, this is the busiest time of the year for many of the
offices associated with enrollment management. Therefore, the following
offices will be moving approximately two weeks after classes begin:
* Financial Aid and Scholarships
* Registrar
* Undergraduate Admissions
* Student Assessment and College Readiness
We ask that you please assist us in directing students to the
appropriate resources. All new freshmen students are served by the
success coaches for advising. Advising has occurred and schedules
prepared in our Orientation sessions.
All new transfer students, with the exception of the following, will
also be served by success coaches. Success coaches may be reached at
903.886.5174 or SuccessCoaches at tamu-commerce.edu. Please direct students
to enter the SOUTH side of the building; this is the NEW FRONT entrance.
If new transfers have 30+ hours and have completed English 101, Math
141, 175, 179, or 191, they are to be advised by their home college.
* For College of Arts and Sciences, students are to contact the
academic departments.
* For College of Business and Technology, students are to
contact Omar Brown at 903.886.5629. Omar is located in Room 314 in the
Business Administration Building.
* For College of Education and Human Services, students are to
contact Jency Holbert at 903.886.5180. Jency is located in Room 203,
Education North.
We are so proud of the One-Stop Student Access and Success Center and we
thank all of the guys in Facilities and Technology Services for their
tireless work and the many hours they devoted to making this vision a
reality!
Please mark your calendars for our Open House on Friday, October 9. More
details will be provided at a later date.
Have a great week!
Mary
