[VPAAEtal] Majors' Fair - Friday Sept 26 11:30am to 1:30pm in Founders Lounge

WHAT: MAJORS' FAIR

 

WHEN: FRIDAY, September 26, 11:30am to 1:30pm

 

WHERE: Founders Lounge in the Memorial Student Center (across from the
pool tables/Candy Counter)

 

WHO: All students, especially first year and new transfer students

 

WHY: Current A&M-Commerce students typically never experienced Mane
Event/University Day, so most never got a chance to meet current
upper-level students and find out about possible majors and minors and
things like clubs.


So new students... first year or transfers...  will benefit from meeting
seasoned A&M-Commerce students, to help them learn more about their
majors or explore second majors or possible minors.  Please announce
publicize this event to your classes, if you teach classes that include
first-year, or new transfer, students.

 

Here's the plan: Academic departments will have their table or booth
setup by 11am on Friday.  Booths or tables will be staffed with
students/faculty during the entire fair. This is prime time to meet new
first-year and new transfer students that want detailed information
about majors/2nd majors/minors, particularly those students who are
undecided.
