University Community:

As you know, we are considering a four-day week for students. A survey
will be launched today asking students for their input regarding a
variety of weekly scheduling options, as well as their interest in a
weekend college, transportation services, etc.

I will be asking for their input by next Wednesday and will be
presenting this information to deans and VP's for a final decision by
next Friday (September 19). We ask that departments wait until they
receive official notification of the approved schedule before entering
their spring schedules. The target date for completion of schedules for
review by students is October 6 so that registration can begin on
schedule by October 13.

Thank you for your assistance.
