[VPAAEtal] A&M System Pathways Conference

[Academic Affairs]

Dear Faculty:

Texas A&M University-Commerce will host the 6th annual Texas A&M
University System Pathways Research Symposium November 7-8, 2008. The
Symposium gives undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to
present their research findings in the form of posters. In addition,
students have the opportunity to discuss their research with fellow
researchers and compete for cash prizes for best poster presentation.

This is a great opportunity for our talented students to showcase their
projects and to receive valuable input from faculty across the TAMU
System. Students should register at www.tamu-commerce.edu/pathways
before October 19, 2008. The Office of Sponsored Programs will pay the
registration fees for A&M-Commerce Students. Please encourage your
students to participate.

An integral aspect of the symposium involves the judging of the posters
and I am seeking your assistance to serve as judges in one or more of
the disciplines listed below:

Agriculture
Business & Computer Information Systems
Computer Science
Education
Engineering
Environmental Science
Life Science
Physical Science
Social Sciences - Humanities

All faculty attending, including judges, must register online.
Registration fees will be waived for all judges. To register and see
the schedule of events, activities and more, please visit the Pathways
website (www.tamu-commerce.edu/pathways/). Registration will end
October 19, 2008. I look forward to seeing you and your students at the
symposium. Please contact Dr. Allan Headley at
allan_headley at tamu-commerce.edu or 903/886-5159 for more information or
if you have questions.

This is our chance to showcase the fine work of our students and
faculty. Thank you for your participation.
