[VPAAEtal] Presidential Search update

Academic community members:

 

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee met Friday, January 25, 2008 with
a daunting job.  From 35 qualified applicants from all over the nation the
committee selected 16 applications to gather more information.  During the
next couple of weeks, the committee will be calling references that were
provided by these successful applicants.

 

On February 13, the committee will reconvene to share what we have learned
of the applicants and then select 6 to 8 applicants for off-campus
interviews.

 

The committee is very pleased with the quality of applicants and is very
confident that we will be able to identify worthy candidates to recommend to
the Chancellor and the Board of Regents.

 

I will continue to try to keep you informed as to our progress.
