[VPAAEtal] Our new President

University Family: 

 

I am pleased to confirm that on the afternoon of the 23rd of April,
2008, the Texas A&M System Board of Regents named Dr. Dan JONES, the
next President of Texas A&M - Commerce.  He will replace Dr. Keith
McFarland who has served with distinction for the last 10 years.

 

     Details on report and start dates are sketchy at present, but as I
understand it will be sometime this summer.

 

     On behalf of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee I would
like to thank the faculty, staff and students of Texas A&M - Commerce
for allowing us the privilege of serving you in this important mission.
