University Community:

There appears to be confusion regarding the appeals process. For many
years, our institution has not communicated a clear Satisfactory Academic
Progress (SAP) Procedure to our students. This year, the SAP Procedure was
revised to reflect the federal financial aid regulations. Consequently, some
students have received notifications that they are no longer eligible for
financial aid, but that they can appeal the decision.

Please communicate to students who submitted an appeal by the August 17th
deadline that they will receive notification by Friday, August 31. Students
who submit appeals after August 17th will receive notification prior to
September 24 (20th class day). Students may continue to submit appeals for
review. Please refer to the information located at this site:

We thank you for your assistance in helping us communicate this information
to students.
