[Vpaaetal] Call for Nominations for CASE Professor of the Year

Hello again.

 

First let me thank all of you who nominated your colleagues for one or more
of our local awards for teaching, scholarship, or service.  We have an
excellent pool of nominees this year, and the competition should be stiff.  

 

This is a call for a different award at the national level, with an emphasis
on undergraduate teaching.  The CASE Professor of the Year Award is awarded
by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.  The winner will
receive a $5000 cash award, an expense paid trip to the awards ceremony in
Washington D.C. in November, and a framed certificate.  The paperwork isn't
as great as the local awards and consists of a one page vita, a 2005-2006
academic year teaching log, a personal statement, and six letters of
support.  Nominees may be full or part time faculty of any academic rank.
