[Vpaaetal] May Commencement Updates

In response to inquiries from students, families and faculty, the
administration has reviewed plans for the May Commencement.  Registrar Paige
Bussell has provided data about expected number of participants--totals of
120 at Navarro College and 1024 at Commerce.  These data and different
scheduling options have been reviewed by the Deans' Council and the
President's Advisory Council.

 

Keeping in mind the need to provide as many tickets as possible for each
graduate, the administration has selected the following configuration for
the ceremonies.  This configuration will allow between five and seven
tickets for every graduate. 

 

 We will observe the usual time slots for commencement ceremonies with one
change:

        

        9:00         Arts & Sciences Undergraduate degrees only

 

      11:00        Business & Technology Undergraduate and Graduate degrees
(est. @ 64)

 

        2:30        Master's and Doctoral degrees for Arts & Sciences and

                                        Education & Human Services

 

        5:00        Education & Human Services Undergraduate degrees
