As you may know, Dr. Ashley and the College of Education and Human Services
are planning to recognize 115 Outstanding COEHS Alumni at a luncheon on
October 21 (during Homecoming Week).  He encourages you to nominate as many
deserving alumni as you would like,

115 OUTSTANDING ALUMNI RECOGNITION

 

In commemoration of the 115th anniversary of Texas A&M-Commerce, the College
of Education and Human Services is seeking nominations of individuals to
honor as one of the COEHS "115 Outstanding Alumni".  To be considered for
this recognition, the nominee must meet the criteria listed below:

 

1.      Must have achieved extraordinary distinction in his or her chosen
business, profession, life's work, or worthy endeavor.

 

2.      Must be a person of such integrity, stature, and demonstrated
ability that the faculty, staff, students, and alumni will take pride in and
be inspired by his or her recognition.

 

3.      Must be an individual who, in deeds and action, reflects and
recognizes the importance of his or her education at Texas A&M-Commerce, who
demonstrates pride in the Alma Mater and whose interest and loyalty are
evident.

 

Any alumnus who meets the eligibility requirements may be nominated for the
award by any of the following:

 

1.      Any member of the COEHS faculty or staff.

 

2.      Friends of the University.

 

Nominations must be received by the Office of the Dean of the College of
Education and Human Services no later than September 12, 2005.

 

Any individual shall be ruled ineligible if any of the following conditions
prevail at the time the Selection Committees makes their decision:

 

1.      Candidate for public office or serving in an elected state or
federal public office.

 

2.      Serving on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System.

 

3.      Holding office in the Texas A&M-Commerce Alumni Association.

 

4.      Conducting business with the University.

 

5.      Employed by Texas A&M-Commerce.

 

If you know of any alumnus whom you believe to be eligible, you are
requested to complete this form and return it to the Dean's office by
September 12, 2005.
