Re: Advance Research Program

The Texas Appropriations Bill contains approximately $8.4 million in funding
for the Advanced Research Program (ARP) for the 2006-07 biennium. No
funding for the Advanced Technology Program (ATP) was included in the bill.
It is anticipated that the Program Announcement for the ARP competition will
be posted, to the following web site http://www.arpatp.com/
<http://www.arpatp.com/> , by July 15, 2005.

To participate in the ARP program, all investigators must register or
reactivate their accounts with the ARP On-line Submission System. To
register or reactivate, visit the website (http://www.arpatp.com
<http://www.arpatp.com/> ), click the gold "On-Line" button at the top of
the webpage and follow the appropriate instructions. I recommend that you
register or reactivate your information as soon as possible to ensure your
status to submit a pre-proposal.

To be eligible to participate in the ARP program, the PI must possess
tenure/tenure-track status.

Additional information is available at the above website, but please do not
hesitate to contact me (5159 or allan_headley at tamu-commerce.edu) or Natalie
Henderson (5161 or natalie_henderson at tamu-commerce.edu
<mailto:natalie_henderson at tamu-commerce.edu> ) if you need additional
information or if we can assist.
