Documents containing confidential student information have been found
recently in dumpsters around campus. This often happens during "Spring
Cleaning" or when employees leave and clean out their offices/desks.
This is a reminder to shred all documents that you are discarding that have
confidential information about students; i.e. social security numbers,
addresses, phone numbers, grades, SAT or ACT scores. CTIS has a shredder
available for your use if one is not available to you.
Each year 10,000,000 Americans are the victims of identity theft. Thank you
for your efforts to keep our students from being one of those victims.
