Texas SPEEDE Folks - Here's a message posted yesterday to the TACRAO
listserv by Mike Allen.    I wanted to be sure that you saw it too.   
The approximately 60 page pdf was posted on the <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.tacrao.org">www.tacrao.org</a> website
in November.  Get to it by following the Hot Topics link.   The SPEEDE
protocol is included in Appendix J.<br>

concerning whether the format for
implementing TEC 51.907 (SB 1231) on SPEEDE transcripts has been
formally
adopted by TACRAO.  This email is in response to that question.  <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

 style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
  <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
 style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">The leadership of TACRAO
has indicated that the</span></font>
&#8220;Report on Senate Bill 1231 and Section 51.907 of the Texas Education
Code&#8221;, reviewed at the annual conference in <st1:place w:st="on">Addison</st1:place>
and posted on the TACRAO website, contains the information needed to
implement
TACRAO recommendations on the &#8220;6 drop limit&#8221;.  Specifically,
page 15 and Appendix J of that report are the primary reference points
pertaining to implementation of this statute on SPEEDE transcripts.  <o:p></o:p></p>
  <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span
 style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
  <p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span
 style="font-size: 12pt;">Any technical questions pertaining to this
aspect of the report should
be referred to the TACRAO Technology Committee, currently chaired by
Dale
Ganus, Associate Director of Admissions at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
 w:st="on">Texas</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Tech</st1:PlaceName>

Any policy issues that arise pertaining to SB 1231 should be directed
