TX-SPEED Listserv Participants:<br>

Background: Starting in 1995, the TACRAO Technology Committee has
organized an annual, early-May, one day meeting of the Texas SPEEDE
Users' Group in Austin. This draws both techies and reg/adm
folks, and is scheduled 9AM-3PM or so in order to allow same day travel
for most. Texas continues to lead the nation in SPEEDE
transcript exchanges, with about 50 Texas colleges sending and over 90
receiving SPEEDE transcripts, and all Texas Common App schools receiving
via the UT Server in an EDI format. Technology changes, though, and
many Texas schools have not yet met the 2000 THECB target for sending
electronic transcripts. In addition, new administrative staff
benefit from discussing the business practices with other trading
partners.<br>
