TXSPEED Listserv:
We counted 89 registrants as of 4/23, and that is a good number. We
will update our meal count this Friday (4/27). You may still register
on the TACRAO website (www.tacrao.org).
Note that if you use a Mozilla web browser (like I do), you cannot see
the submenus (such as for Workshop & Seminars) to get to the
registration info. One solution is to borrow a machine with Internet
Explorer. Another is to download the "IE-Tab" add-on for Mozilla,
then right click over the TACRAO menu list to invoke ie-tab.
See you in Austin.

SPEEDE transcripts continue to work well in Texas, savings thousands of
dollars and proving faster service to our students. Come to Austin on
May 4 for an update or education on electronic college transcripts, the
newly TEA-approved high school transcript service, related state common
application deliveries, and the user interactions associated with all of
these.
Registration should be open later today (4/12) for the May 4 meeting of
the Texas SPEEDE Users’ Group. Use the workshops and seminars link on
the www.tacrao.org <http://www.tacrao.org/> website – but make sure you
use the 2007 meeting. Bill Morris will also post a broadcast message.
The registration fee will again be $30, and will include breaks and
lunch. Checks should be payable to TACRAO. They may be mailed to
Jamie Templeton, Project Manager-Info Tech, Dallas County CC District,
4343 North Highway 67, Dallas TX 75150. If you need a printed invoice,
you should be able to print it from the TACRAO registration pages.
Checks may also be brought to the meeting. No credit card process is
available.
*We need to submit our initial meal counts on April 20*, so a quick
registration would be appreciated. If you can certify individuals from
your campus are coming, but are not yet able to register, please send
their names to Jamie (jlt1153 at dcccd.edu <mailto:jlt1153 at dcccd.edu>).
The location is again */The Commons Building/*
<http://www.utexas.edu/commons/commons_parking.html> (#137), located at
10100 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78758, near the southwest corner of Burnet
Road and Braker Lane on the University of Texas J. J. Pickle Research
Campus. Entrance is via Braker Lane.
Maps, parking, hotel, and transportation info may be found via the
following links:
Parking: http://www.utexas.edu/commons/commons_parking.html
Map: http://www.utexas.edu/commons/maps/index.html
Transportation: http://www.utexas.edu/commons/transportation.html
Hotels: http://www.utexas.edu/commons/hotels.html
Emergency contact for attendees is 512-471-2686, and the correct name is

The agenda is listed below. On the breakout by Student Information
Systems, please notify me (stonesd at southwestern.edu
<mailto:stonesd at southwestern.edu>) if your school needs to be included
in a group not listed.
Thanks. I hope to see you in Austin. I also hope not to host a third
meeting before the year is out.
