It states, "(3) An institution may approve for core curriculum applicability a course the institution offers but that is not approved as a part of the institution's core curriculum, if the institution demonstrates that the course has been approved to fulfill the same specific foundational component area requirement at five or more other Texas public colleges or universities. The Texas Common Course Numbering System course number may be used as evidence of the suitability of the course under this subsection."

Position Summary:
The Assistant Director for Recruitment Events reports to the Associate Director for Undergraduate Recruitment under the auspices of Enrollment Management. An ideal candidate should practice a spirit of servant leadership. This means that she/he should be able to start new projects with ease, have a heightened sense of responsibility and ownership, be well spoken and naturally charismatic, as well as a desire and passion to go far beyond the boundaries of the job. This is a twelve month, full-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director for Recruitment Events primary responsibilities will include:

·       Problem solving skills

Student Supervision, Administrative, and Recruitment:

·       Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training and supervision of the admission's student workers, which includes 14-16 students who provide campus tours; monitor student employment budget.

·       Schedule student worker staff in a manner that ensures adequate coverage for all campus visit events in a timely manner.

·       Coordinate monthly trainings for recruitment staff and students.

·       Utilize Banner system for extensive prospective student profile management to include data entry, data analysis, emailing, calling, and texting

·       Submit and track purchasing requisitions

·       Field telephone and email inquiries from potential students and families and deliver informational presentations to students who come to campus for a tour.

·       Meet with prospective students and their parents during campus visits.

·       Develop and articulate an in-depth knowledge base of university programs, admission policies, and procedures

·       Serve  as primary back up for undergraduate recruitment travel as needed

·       In coordination with the Associate Director, develop and manage content for various communication channels including: website, social media, email marketing, collateral materials, and event listings.

Campus Visit Experience:

·       Extensive event planning.

·       Responsible for the development, management, and assessment of daily tours, high school group tours, and major visit days.

·       Manage event registration, confirmation and communications to all visitors. Ensure that all aspects of the campus visit experience are scheduled and accomplished in a timely and positive manner.

·       Responsible for all event management, including but not limited to, space reservations, event set-up, catering, check-in, coordination of speakers, additional staffing, etc.

·       Collaborate regularly and extensively with other academic and/or administrative units on campus to ensure successful visit programs.

·       Identify effective campus tour routes and engagement strategies.

·       Assess student and family feedback, making adjustments as needed to guarantee the quality of campus visits.

·       Monitor event expense tracking and coordinate receiving/processing vendor invoices

·       Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.

·       Monitors and assists in recruitment data management.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
The minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree, plus two years of experience in a customer service related field. Experience with planning for and hosting both small and large events.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity with higher education.  Ability to represent the University, articulate the institution's mission and market all aspects of university life.  Demonstrated presentation abilities, oral and written communication skills.
