UT-Permian Basin invites applications and nominations for the position of Registrar Officer II.  This full-time professional will assist the Registrar in accomplishing the goals of the office, including but not limited to:
*       supervision of grades
*       Texas Success Initiative transfer credit and holds
*       scheduling of classes
*       veteran enrollment certification
*       preparation and submission of reports

Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will advise students and prospective students regarding testing and class requirements in order to meet the standards set in the Texas Success Initiative (TSI).  The incumbent will (1) work with the Department of Undergraduate Success and Academic Advising to ensure students are enrolled in the correct classes, based on their deficiencies in one or more of the core subjects; (2) continually review incoming students to ensure that their TSI information is entered into the student information system correctly and updated as students meet the minimum standards in reading, writing, and mathematics;
(3) assist the Registrar in completing the Coordinating Board TSI reports every semester;
(4) assist the Associate Registrar in maintaining the enrollments and records for students using Montgomery GI Bill benefits;
(5) Work with Financial Aid in the awarding and reconciliation of GI Bill benefits;
(6) organize and maintain various manual and computer records and record-keeping systems, enter and retrieve data to create standard and special reports, and document and cross-reference data.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. A minimum of four years' experience working in a registrar, enrollment management and/or student services position. A sound understanding of organizational and governance structures, general academic policies and regulations of higher education institutions is critical to the position, as is experience accurately entering data and maintaining a database. Effective written and verbal communication skills, multi-tasking skills, flexibility, and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a dynamic environment is a must. The candidate selected must be able to work independently and as part of a productive team; work on multiple tasks with numerous interruptions; and work with sensitive information and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. All applicants must have the ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
