Job Summary:

Serves in an administrative and supervisory role for the Tarrant County College Admissions Unit. Interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates full and part-time staff. Leads, directs, and coordinates staff in the following areas: VA Certification and processing, international admissions, admissions processing, admissions applications importing, reporting, and communications management.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  *   Leads, directs, and coordinates staff in the following areas: VA Certification and processing, international admissions, admissions processing, admissions applications importing, reporting, and communications management
  *   Serves as DSO for SEVIS processing and updating related to International Admissions
  *   Reviews International Admissions applicants and issues I-20s to accepted applicants
  *   Processes Change of Status requests
  *   Processes OPT requests
  *   Registers and updates students in SEVIS
  *   Serves as certifying official for VA Processing
  *   Maintain online and paper admissions applications
  *   Oversee admissions application import process
  *   Interprets college and state policy and implements procedures pertaining to admissions requirements including TSI and Residency
  *   Assists with training for Admissions, Records, and Registrar staff to promote accurate and consistent procedures throughout the District
  *   Assesses equipment needs
  *   Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  *   Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College
  *   Supports the values of the College; diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity, and service to the College
  *   Respond to inquiries and complaints from internal/external customers and regulatory agencies

Minimum Educational Requirement and Required Qualifications:

*     Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
*     Five (5) years of experience in a college or university Admissions or Registrar's Office, or related area
*     Two (2) years of supervisory experience
*     Experience working with integrated computerized student records, and demonstrated problem solving skills
*     Knowledge of THECB regulations
*     Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and methods
*     Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that include ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical, financial, and legal documents and records



Preferred Qualifications:

  *   Master's degree from an accredited institution
  *   Experience with International Admissions, SEVIS, and VA processing

Starting salary is $50,953.
